The Hess family is Jeff's little sister, Brandi, her husband, Matt, and their three rambunctious kids. We love them immensely!
A few weeks ago, Grandma and Grandpa Chewy came to visit us and decided to bring Madi (7) and Max (4) to see their favorite Idaho cousins and Aunt (Uncle Jeff was in California doing research and development). It was great to spend time with the Chewys and the Hess kids. They got to watch A LOT of soccer -- both Peyton and Ashley had tournaments. I also got to learn some things about my niece and nephew that I didn't know living 300 miles away.

Here's what I learned about Madi:
- She LOVES to wear jewelry and has a pretty good eye for funky chic
- She LOVES to play school which was PERFECT for Ashley since it's also her favorite thing to do
- She is relaxed and quiet...much the opposite of her little brother...and knows how to get along with him and/or make him get along with her

Here's what I learned about Max:
- He doesn't like wearing underwear
- He doesn't like wearing shoes - but does like wearing white socks outside to play
- He will unroll the toilet paper if left unsupervised
- He will gladly admit to unrolling the toilet paper with a smile on his face -- "it was MEEEEE!"
How can you not love these kids? They're freakin' adorable! I'm just sad Madi had to stay home, but hopefully she had some quality time with Mom and Dad and played with all of Madi's and Max's toys.
